Join Pack 545
Cub Scout Pack 545 welcomes new Scouts year-round. The standard registration period is in August, but families can join at other times during the school year.
Pack 545 serves kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade and is open to both boys and girls. Scouts are grouped by grade level into smaller Dens, while the whole Pack comes together for monthly Pack meetings and special events.
Whether your family is new to Cub Scouts or already familiar with Scouting, we’re glad you’re here.

We encourage families to visit an upcoming Pack meeting before deciding to join.
Visiting a meeting is a great way to:
- Meet Pack leaders
- See how meetings work
- Ask questions
- Learn what your child’s Den experience may look like
- Decide whether Pack 545 is a good fit for your family
Pack 545 meets as a whole Pack one Wednesday per month at Meridian Elementary School. Most Pack meetings take place on the first or second Wednesday of the month from September through May.
How to Join Pack 545
1. Contact us or visit a meeting
If you have questions, start by contacting Pack 545. We can help you learn more about the Pack, meeting schedule, registration timing, and what to expect.
2. Complete the youth membership application
When you’re ready to register, complete the official youth membership application through Scouting America.
3. Watch for next steps
After your registration is approved, Pack 545’s New Member Coordinator will follow up with next steps.
They can help you understand:
- Your child’s Den placement
- Upcoming meeting dates
- Uniform basics
- Dues and fundraising
- Scoutbook and Pack communication
- Upcoming activities and events
Cost, Uniforms, and Supplies
Cub Scouts includes annual dues, a uniform, and a handbook. Some optional outings or activities may have an additional cost.
Pack 545 also offers fundraising opportunities that may help offset costs, and scholarships may be available.

Family Involvement
Cub Scouts is a family-based program. It is not a “drop and go” activity.
Parents, guardians, and caregivers are part of the experience and are encouraged to participate in meetings, outings, and events. Family support helps make the Pack strong.
That does not mean every family has to take on a major role. Some families help often. Others help when they can. Pack 545 appreciates support at all levels.
