About Pack 545
Cub Scout Pack 545 is a family-friendly Cub Scout Pack in Broomfield, Colorado, serving kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Our Pack is chartered by the Broomfield Rotary Club and meets as a whole Pack one Wednesday per month at Meridian Elementary School.
Established in 2001, Pack 545 helps Scouts build friendships, try new activities, serve the community, spend time outdoors, and grow in confidence. Families are part of the experience too. Cub Scouts is designed to be active, hands-on, and fun — with opportunities for kids and adults to participate together.

Who We Serve
Pack 545 typically draws families from the area bordered by:
- 128th Street to the south
- Sheridan Boulevard to the west
- I-25 to the east
- Highway 7 to the north
Families are welcome to join from any area. Contact us if you are interested in joining or learning more.
New Scouts are welcomed year-round, with the standard registration period taking place in August.
What's Involved
Pack Meetings
Pack meetings bring all Scouts and families together. These meetings are usually held on the first or second Wednesday of each month from September through May, depending on the Pack schedule.
Pack meetings may include activities, announcements, awards, ceremonies, games, and time to connect as a Pack.
Den Meetings
Scouts are grouped into smaller grade-level groups called Dens. Each Den typically includes about 6 to 10 Scouts.
Den meetings are usually held twice per month, with the specific meeting night set by each Den leader. These smaller meetings give Scouts a chance to work on age-appropriate adventures, skills, and achievements.
Activities
Throughout the school year, Pack 545 typically offers outings about once a month. During the summer, we offer multiple opportunities each month.
Activities may include:
- Rockies baseball games
- Denver Zoo sleepovers
- Service projects
- Camping trips
- Picnics
- Hikes and outdoor adventures
- Pinewood Derby
- Rocket launches
- Seasonal celebrations
- Family outings
Some activities are included with Pack participation, while others may require an additional cost.
District Events
Pack 545 is part of the Greater Colorado Council of Scouting America. The council regularly hosts events that are open to Cub Scout Packs and Scout Troops across the Denver area.
These events give Scouts the opportunity to participate in larger activities, meet Scouts from other Packs, and feel part of the broader Scouting community.
Examples may include camping events, Scout shows, and other council-wide activities.

Family Involvement
Cub Scouting is not a “drop and go” activity. Family involvement is an important part of the program and helps make meetings, events, and outings successful.
Parents, guardians, and caregivers are encouraged to participate at meetings and events. Additional volunteer support is always appreciated, but it can look different for each family.
Some families take on leadership roles, such as becoming a Den leader. Others help with monthly events, activity planning, setup, cleanup, communications, or behind-the-scenes support.
We understand that every family has different schedules and responsibilities. Pack 545 appreciates support at all levels and works with families to find volunteer opportunities that fit their availability.
